Penn Medicine Princeton Health is currently searching for a Full Time, Nights, 12 hour shifts, Advance Nurse Practitioner - Nocturnist-Hospitalist Service.


Shift: The hours are 7:00 pm to 7:00 am shifts.


Position Summary: Provides direct and indirect patient care, in collaboration with the physicians in the acute inpatient setting and the Observation unit at Penn Medicine - Princeton Medical Center.


Qualifications:


All Princeton Health employees are required to receive an annual influenza vaccine unless granted a medical or religious exemption.


Required:


- Advanced Nurse Practice Degree from an accredited nursing school and all of the education required to have achieved such a degree


- New Jersey State Advanced Nurse Practitioner License


- American Nurses Credentialing Center Certification


- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) AND NJ Controlled Dangerous Substances licenses


- Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association (AHA)


- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification (ACLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association (AHA)


- At least two (2) years' experience acute inpatient care, experience in emergency medicine and intensive care will be considered on an individual basis


- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills


- Ability to work independently


- Effective liaison with other health care professionals


- Effective time management and problem solving skills


- Demonstrates leadership, management and interpersonal skills


- Ability to utilize selected patient care EMR and applications


- Experience and knowledge on but not limited to code situations, acute coronary care, cardiac drug therapy, general surgical emergencies, basic neurology and gastroenterology, evidenced based guidelines on management of common conditions and recognition of inpatient urgencies.


Preferred:


- Some experience in other Clinical Decision Unit/Observation Care is helpful
